How I work

My experience means I bring a level of insight and structure that many small businesses don't usually get from a typical Cheshire accountant.

When you choose me, you deal directly with me. I take responsibility for your accounts, your tax, and making sure everything is handled properly and on time.

My focus is simple: give you clarity, keep you compliant, and help you make better financial decisions.

I work with small businesses, trades and freelancers, growing limited companies, landlords, directors and, increasingly, professional footballers and athletes who need their personal tax, image rights and planning handled properly.

Calibra Accountancy

The firm

Calibra Accountancy is my Cheshire-based practice, built for business owners who want more than tick-box compliance.

You deal with me directly. Every call, every email, every decision. No account managers, no junior staff handling your numbers, no chasing for answers.

From bookkeeping and payroll to management accounts, tax planning and director advisory, I deliver the kind of considered, joined-up service that established businesses across Cheshire deserve.

Local Knowledge

Based in Wilmslow, living in Poynton, and working across Cheshire East and the towns around it.

Keeping an eye on Cheshire East Council

If you follow me on Instagram or TikTok you'll know a lot of my videos are about Cheshire East Council. Bin days, council tax, the budget, the decisions that get made in Sandbach and land on doorsteps in Poynton, Wilmslow and Macclesfield.

That started when I moved to Poynton. The council's financial problems are well documented, and as a finance person I find it hard to look away. I'm interested in the numbers behind the headlines, the decisions the council comes to, and whether they move things forward.

I do it because I have the best interests of Cheshire East at heart. This is where I live, where my clients live, and where my children will grow up. So I keep on top of the meetings and the budgets, and I keep my audience updated with what is happening and what it means, in plain English.

The Cheshire accountant from Bolton

A confession before a client finds out from my accent. I'm not from Cheshire. I grew up in north Bolton, which is the other side of Manchester and, depending on who you ask, the other side of a fairly important line.

I moved to Poynton for the same reasons most people do, and somewhere between registering for council tax and learning the bin day rota I became more invested in Cheshire East than most people who were born here. I'll happily argue about it over a £6 pint in Alderley Edge.

So, The Cheshire Accountant. Made in Bolton, based in Wilmslow, lives in Poynton, works for you. If the name still feels like a stretch, the numbers won't.
