Accountancy Services.

When you're growing your business, it's important to surround yourself with qualified, experienced advisors.

Designed with Your Business in Mind

Partnering with an experienced and qualified accountant ensures compliance, but also optimises financial performance. Everything below sits under one roof, so you deal with one accountant for the lot.

Company accounts and annual financial statements

A much simpler solution to annual statements.

Year-end accounts prepared accurately and filed with Companies House and HMRC on time. I prepare statutory accounts that meet every requirement, give you a clear picture of the year gone by, and never leave filing to the last week. No last-minute panic and no late filing penalties.

Corporation tax

Cut through the complexities of corporation tax.

Corporation tax returns completed thoroughly, with planning throughout the year rather than a surprise in month twelve. I look at timing, capital allowances, director pay, dividends and pension contributions so you know what is coming and can keep your bill as low as it legitimately can be.

Self assessment tax returns

Take the anxiety out of self assessment tax returns.

Personal tax returns for sole traders, landlords, directors, high earners and professional athletes. I take care of the forms, the deadlines and the reliefs you'd otherwise miss, including the ones around pensions, marriage allowance and the £50k and £100k thresholds that catch so many people out.

Bookkeeping and VAT

Keep your financial records up-to-date and organised.

Up-to-date, organised records and VAT returns submitted correctly and on time. I'll tell you when to register, which scheme suits you, what you can claim and what you can't, and I'll stop you spending your evenings on receipts.

Payroll and CIS

Maintain employee satisfaction through managed payroll.

Managed payroll for your team, with payslips, pensions and HMRC submissions handled every month, plus Construction Industry Scheme returns for builders, trades and subcontractors. If you've ever missed the Employment Allowance tick box, this is the service that finds it.

Management accounts

Get a detailed view of your company's financial performance.

Regular reports that show how your business is really performing, not just how it looks on a tax return. Margins, cash, who owes you what, and what to do about it. Monthly or quarterly, in plain English, with a conversation attached.

Proactive advice on structure, director pay, dividends, company cars, pensions and growth, plus a direct line to me for the questions that come up between deadlines. For professional footballers and athletes, that includes image rights companies and planning for a career that is shorter than most.

How much does an accountant cost in Cheshire?
My packages start from £99 per month for sole traders and £119 per month for limited companies. Making Tax Digital support starts from £39 per month. Everything is a fixed monthly fee, agreed before we start, with no hidden extras.
What is included in the monthly fee?
Each package is built around what your business needs. A typical limited company package covers bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, year-end accounts, corporation tax, the director's self assessment and advice through the year. You'll get a written scope before you sign anything.
Can I switch accountants mid-year?
Yes, and it is easier than most people expect. I handle the professional clearance with your old accountant, collect the records and pick up from wherever they left off.
Do I need to be a limited company?
Not necessarily. I'll look at your income, your plans and your risk and tell you straight whether a limited company would save you money or just add admin. For a lot of sole traders the answer is not yet.
Which software do you use?
Cloud software that is HMRC-recognised for Making Tax Digital. I'll recommend the right one for you, set it up and link it to HMRC, and you'll be able to see your numbers whenever you want.
Do you work with professional footballers and athletes?
Yes. I act for professional footballers and athletes across Cheshire on personal tax, image rights companies and planning for a career that is shorter than most.
